Ken Rockwell has just posted a new post, this time comparing sharpness among some high-end cameras, including the D3x/D3, 5DMk2/Mk1, Leica M7, Pentax 645N (film camera), and a few others, including the Elph P&S Canon SD700.
After the crops are shown, he has a detailed "discussion" on his findings, and also an explanation of his "technik".
Yet another post guaranteed to fire up the forums of different brands!
PS: I was rather shocked that the SD700 was not proclaimed the winner :-)

Why, oh why, give KR more link love? His modus operandi is to be over the top and offensive in order to generate hits at his site. No need to play along...

That is a good point, but it is entertainment and entertaining :)

KR writes this stuff primarily to drive traffic to his site, not because he has anything useful to offer. He has far less authority about these matters than the average forum poster. Please don't play into his game by highlighting his self-serving posts.

I understand that KR has a big anti-fan club, but we are trying to feature as many diverse voices as possible. Plus, the KR posts are a good source for entertainment. A lot of people are reading what he writes for entertainment or because they want to be outraged :)
